Meanwhile the Annual Break is creeping up on me. The Dallas Quilt Show 2016 starts this Friday and runs through Sunday. It is held at Market Hall in Dallas. I'll be taking stock in the show and breaking from studio work and business for a couple of weeks. Usually I take this time to prepare for the next quilting season, but I have already made my itinerary for the rest of the year. It may be difficult to stick with hand quilting for 12 months, versus building anything new. Push comes to shove and I ache a bit, I may pull off a test block for Oak King/Holly King before the year is out.
So I am layin' low for a bit and writing. Funny thing is I am getting used to the blocks and the force that tries to keep me from writing. The presence and significance is much like understanding the muse and when he arrives, that means work.
As ever, stay hungry and curious.
