Dolls 2014
Everybody needs a doll from what I have been learning. Not just children or the avid collector. One good, hug worthy doll that is attentive during the wee hours of the night. Not to mention one that is long still snuggling after the lightning and wind has left the neighborhood. I had dabbled in 2009 with making dolls for my niece and nephew. My prototypes and test did not meet with excellent success or encouragement, but I was pleased. I knew nothing about the magnitude of the doll industry and I look beyond HooDoo and Voodoo esoteric meanings. The dolls you will find here were for fun and engendering a smile in the sales booth. Designing the patterns were in the least one of the best exercises I have ever had. Playing origami with fabric goes beyond my analogies of tangrams and piecing.
