Scritch Scritch
Scritch Scritch is a series of drawing named after one of my Grandmother's comments. She often comments that an object or recipe is made from scritch scritch instead of "made from scratch". All of the worked drawings are built on a collaged surface. Several are accented by ink or gouache.
Sizes are various as well as the prices which are contained in the captions.
Prices vary and are calculated for unframed artwork.
Impetus for the work came from a need to get back to the basics and build my sensitivity for light and shadow. To make the drawing effort more integral to my working style, I made the decision to work on prepared surfaces with juxtaposed images in random organization. The initial practice produced excellent results. After that point I committed to the method to become apart of my repertoire.
