Todays venture is drawing clouds. I watched a severe thunderstorm break and went outside to be close to the tail end of it. I used to draw clouds religiously 14 years ago. Every summer I'd sit on the same hill and draw clouds for hours upon hour upon hours upon hours. The mound had a good slope and there was nothing to obscure the view for miles in some direction and in others about 150 feet or so.
It was always in pencil. I even drew during pre-storm conditions getting good nimbocumulous formations on page.... no unidetified flying objects however.
These days, I have fun watching the weather and nameing the clouds. I've gotten to the point of naming in Latin or Greek some oddities I've come across.
Just like the Native Americans trekked slaves through Toronado Alley to escape slavers. Maybe I could flip it and make a cloud trail or mapping system to follow to water , mountains, etcetera. Although how often do people look up. Most can't get across the room without studying their feet.
Actually, that'll go inthe box with The Medicine Wars.
