Reflecting on design, I'm keeping as close to the initial sketch as possible for the structure. So the border is the next hill. I'm noticing composition issues between paper and fabric. They'll work out I'm sure. I wish I knew why I've been so hell bent on this project from the beginning. I use to get aches in graduate studio during the winter. The cold and standing for long periods took its toll. I see repetitious work as a boon to eduction and uniformity, but a bitch to the artist's physical body. I'm missing my back exercise book from the Red Cross. I got that when working at another library years ago. I miss walking for the sake of calming stress. I know carpal tunnel exercises are out there. For now I miss my hand brace. I think two are in order before next month seizes my schedule.
Overall, I am happy. I thought about associations other that India and I remembered a Native American tribe. Mostly remembering they're work and not a name of a tribe. I'll find it again. I am sure.
New Year's Resolution #1: Taking myself seriously as an artist.
New Year's Resolution #2: Taking what I learn from that as gospel and wisdom.
New Year's Resolution #3: Because of that, learning not to back down.
To you and yours a glorious Winter Solstice!
As ever, stay hungry and curious.
