Waiting for the applique glue to dry. Tutorials and one on one assistance at the shop and I have a solid picture of what it'll look like finished. Well, except for bead work. I always feel I need to do something with my hands, well I am beginning to understand it that way. Hand work and all the other components and variance help, a whole lot. It keeps my mind busy and learning the realms of meditation and patience as well.
I get told that I can do anything I want in quilting. I always try to wretch and cry quietly, because I mainly taught myself and feel the need for order and limited options. For one my images always follow kin to my collages. Go figure that. Seamlessness versus exposure always plays close in deconstruction and I try to make materials do other than designed. Every now and then I'll come across a technique and the seams split or a thickness that brandishes itself in my face. Then the needle breaks and I know I am in no man's land which is right next to explorer central. But to be honest I like it that way. Finding my way through without help or suggestion till needed. A quieter form of exploration in new territory.
