I finished another wall hanging and put another on the frame for quilting. I'll sit down and finish the bindings when I get this last one finished. I'm positive they all belong under glass and that is the next mission. Find a frame large enough at Christian Community Action. Though with the 60% off framing coupons that JoAnn's is running I might be safe to budget over a few months. Michael's told me they'd honor the same coupon. Covered either way.
The fun was having enough discipline to do color flats today.Basically I sort all of my scraps into color families and then stitch them all together into larger squares or rectangles to get as close to yardage as possible. I found out I am basically crazy quilting. except I do not go over the seams with embroidery. I love the effect and it is work to get it that way. After I make the flats they get cut back down into sizes for other quilts later down the road. On the whites it is my second pass on this fabric, so I will be discarding whatever is left at this point. I'm debating on getting rid of my triangles. They are all odd shapes rarely with two the same size. Pairing the edges will take more patience than I have right now. I'll take my time and build up to it. Or let the seconds rule enforce.
Tomorrow is 2D studio time I think and rest. I popped a ligament in my elbow ironing at the wrong angle. No pain, a little tickling though. I think a change in task will be good. Get my brain thinking a little differently than it has been. Though I remember a friends encouragement to concentrate on one thing and not spread myself too thin.
