Doing this kind of study is for the purpose of remedying questions in my own work. For the past 2 months I have been embroiled in painting. The star scape in Cygnus is a breaktrhough in understandin for me. I have to look at it more to undersatnd exactly what I did to get motion out of a source that was so flat in white space. I have been relying on a star finder to provide the structure I lay down on the paper. The timely arrival of the Wassily Kandinsky answered my quiver between handling space that would be the sky. Abstraction opened the palette and made sure my mind was not confined to blue. The experiement is over in that regard and I have to begin to refine the manner to make it a method. Foremost I enjoy the results of the risk I took. Developing the color range more distinctly in the blue category and allowing time for layering and glazing would also help.
Focusing on working the overall body as light will preserve a high value range and promote transparency.
Definitely, I have found something good.
